Faculty of Arts
This course offers an in-depth exploration of art outside the context of the gallery or museum, engaging the shared spaces we inhabit both on and offline. Students will explore the challenges and opportunities for developing work for different public environments and communities, engaging with public and urban art, performance, social practice, internet art as well as other networked-based practices. They can pursue projects of varying scale, in both online and offline contexts, and will gain experience in site analysis, project planning, proposal development, collaboration skills, and informal and interventionist strategies for art projects outside the gallery or museum space.
