Painting as direct observation; the translation of the experience of the human figure as object and subject, the transposition to painting of a range of other observed forms including still life; development of the awareness of perceptual issues and expressive possibilities in painting. Teaching and discussion take place in the two official languages. Recommended minimum language skills include the ability to understand, read and interact orally in class in your second official language. (P)
