ART 2928 Sculpture and the Body

This course explores different sculptural strategies that are specifically geared to explorations of the body, including the human and animal forms, fragmented or intact, macro and micro scale. The subject matter can be approached through various strategies, including modelling or assemblage with mixed media, armatures, wax, clay, silicone or resins, etc. Teaching and discussion take place in the two official languages. Recommended minimum language skills include the ability to understand, read and interact orally in class in your second official language. (P)

Prerequisites: ART 1321 , 6 course units from ( ART 1311 , ART 1331 , ART 1341 ). Reserved for students registered in the Bachelor of Fine Arts or in the Major in Visual Arts.
