ART 2913 Painting and Image I: Materiality and Process

Exploration of the physical characteristics of painting and of diverse painting practices, through the use of various materials, tools and processes, including non-traditional materials and mixed media. Introduction to various supports, grounds, mediums and techniques related to the development of surface and image. Teaching and discussion take place in the two official languages. Recommended minimum language skills include the ability to understand, read and interact orally in class in your second official language. (P)

Prerequisites: ART 1311 , 6 course units from ( ART 1321 , ART 1331 , ART 1341 ). Reserved for students registered in the Bachelor of Fine Arts or in the Major in Visual Arts.
