Révision des espaces vectoriels et de l'algèbre des matrices via des applications aux sciences économiques et physiques. Produit scalaire, Gram-Schmidt, projections orthogonales. Matrices orthogonales. Valeurs et vecteurs propres, diagonalisation des matrices symétriques. Décomposition en valeurs singulières. Formes quadratiques, propriétés de matrices symétriques, définie-positives, et idempotentes. La minimisation des formes quadratiques et l'approximation aux moindres carrés; l'analyse en composantes principales. Programmation linéaire, dualité et méthode du simplexe.
