3 units
Human Kinetics
Faculty of Health Sciences
Principles of mechanics applied to the study of human motion. Internal and external forces acting on the body. Methods for quantifying motion and measuring forces and energetics of human movement. Roles of muscles for the generation of force, work and power and for controlling movement are emphasized through inverse dynamics analysis and electromyographic kinesiology.
