APA 2114 Biomechanical Analysis of Human Movement

Principles of mechanics applied to the study of human motion. Internal and external forces acting on the body. Methods for quantifying motion and measuring forces and energetics of human movement. Roles of muscles for the generation of force, work and power and for controlling movement are emphasized through inverse dynamics analysis and electromyographic kinesiology.

Prerequisites: APA 1313 , ( PHY 1321 or PHY 1331 ). APA 2314 is corequisite to APA 2114 . The courses APA 2114 , APA 2315 cannot be combined for units. Course reserved for students enrolled in the BScHK programs.
