Faculte des sciences
Isotopes are often used to trace provenance of organic and inorganic materials. This course will discuss how traditional isotope systems (Oxygen, Hydrogen, Carbon, Sulphur, Strontium and Lead) vary in the environment at different spatiotemporal scales and how mapping their variations can solve problems in hydrology, climatology, ecology, and archeology. Students will gain graduate-level insight into these areas through the review, presentation and written critiques of recently published scientific literature.
