ART 1341 Art, Time and the Technological Imagination

This course builds the foundations for creating at the intersection of art and technology. Using primarily the time-based medium of audio-video production, the course helps students develop a robust imagination while using complex digital technologies. It introduces students to essential themes and strategies of production in art and technology including time, narrative, systems and interactivity. Students build a foundation of skills with a variety of production tools and techniques including the basics of shooting video, recording sound, editing as well as ideation, proposal development and prototyping.
