The complex response of aboriginal peoples to Christianity in different colonial contexts from first contact to the present. The course emphasizes native agency: exploring aboriginal people's selective and creative refashioning of the faith, their critiques of and resistance to Christianity, and the use of Christianity as a tool for social reform.
