Theories and methodologies of the sociology of technology. The shaping of technologies by social factors (e.g. cultural norms, economic interests, socio-material practices). The socio-economic, cultural and political consequences of new technologies— how technologies impact different social groups and different parts of the world. Specific attention to contemporary issues related to emerging technologies and innovations.
