Religious phenomena analysed from a sociological perspective. Topics include methods, classic and contemporary sociological theories of religion, religious organization and authority, gender and religion, religion and culture, religion and economy, religious diversity, the relations of religion to politics around the world, secularization, new religious movements, new forms of religiosity, and the rise of the nonreligious.
