Broad overview of the philosophical and scientific background of psychology, notably its epistemology and the birth of Western psychology and its philosophical and scientific development. Coverage of best practices and prominent contributors across cultures and demographic groups. Covers research abuses of vulnerable populations that gave rise to contemporary ethical considerations and efforts to make psychology more inclusive, equitable, and generalizable to a diverse world.
