POL 3371 Quantitative Analysis in Political Science

Epistemology and logic of quantitative analysis. Introduction to descriptive statistics and to the main steps inherent in quantitative research, such as data gathering, measurement scales, measures of dispersion and of central tendencies, probability, sampling techniques. Practice of elementary techniques of analysis with dataset software: association measurement, test of hypothesis, regression analysis, bivariate and multivariate analyses, correlation. Multimethods approach.
