Structure, conformation, mechanics, and dynamics of biopolymers (proteins, nucleic acids, polysaccharides, glycoproteins, and proteoglycans) in solution; physics of biopolymer folding and complex formation; assembly of lipids and proteins into higher order structures; experimental methods for characterizing biological macromolecules.
