Introduction to the concepts, theories, data, and other ideas related to microeconomics and macroeconomics. Topics include: supply and demand, elasticities of demand and supply, theory of the firm, forms of competition, environmental externalities and government policies, components of the economy, international trade, labour and unemployment, money and the financial system, business cycles, and investment and innovation. Students will use economic data to make managerial decisions and develop an appreciation of managers' roles within the global economy.
