3 units
Linguistics
Faculty of Arts
Are some dialects more correct than others? Do men and women speak the same way? Does bilingualism affect our ability to reason? Do the upper classes really speak better? Have Canadian French and English changed? By examining how we speak in everyday situations, this course addresses these questions and explores ways in which language and society affect each other.
