Critical discussion of plays, poems, and fiction representative of major writers from the Middle Ages to the present. Study of texts by authors such as Dante, Boccaccio, Petrarca, Machiavelli, Galileo, Leopardi, Manzoni, D Annunzio, Pirandello, Mariani, Morante, Calvino, Eco and others. Readings are in translation.
