Exploration of the role of government policy in the provision of information services, in its social, economic, and technological dimensions. The course examines policies and practices relating to publishing, distributing, and providing online access to government information at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels; assesses the role and expectations of government in the information ecosystem today; and compares Canadian information policies and trends with those of foreign and intergovernmental agencies. Previously ISI 5164.
