Survey of the legal framework relevant to the formulation and implementation of information policies in libraries, archives, and other cultural, educational, and governmental organizations. The course focuses on Canadian legislation regulating copyright, access to information, and privacy; examines models for licensing intellectual property; and assesses the impact of digital technologies on regulations governing the management and dissemination of information. Previously ISI 5161.
