Theories and models relating to information seeking and use within both individual and institutional contexts. The course addresses the identification and representation of information needs, search strategies and techniques, ethical issues, and evaluation methods all within a variety of user communities and technological settings. The course also examines the information mediation process and services that facilitate information access. Previously ISI 5104.
