GEO 4303 Aqueous Inorganic Geochemistry and Modelling

3 units
Geology
Faculty of Science
Introduction to fundamental concepts of aqueous inorganic geochemistry such as ion hydration and hydrolysis, models for ionic activity corrections, mineral solubility, redox and solute adsorption on mineral surfaces. Numerical modelling exercises provide opportunities to integrate these concepts in a quantitative framework.
