A report of research in the field and laboratory on a subject approved by the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and supervised by a faculty adviser. Students are encouraged to seek suitable thesis topics during summer employment preceding their final year. They are required to attend seminars of the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre and present a seminar on their thesis topic. Previously GEO 4900. (Part 1 of 2) Reserved for students registered in an Honours program in Geology, Geology-Physics, and Environmental Geosciences.

Requirements:

Prerequisite: Student must have completed required basic courses in science and compulsory 3000 level courses within the field and have a minimum CGPA of 6.0.
