Faculty of Arts
An introduction to key concepts, established methodologies, and theoretical approaches to literary study through concentrated, practical work on a specific topic or problem. While fostering the kinds of independent research and presentation that will characterize seminar and special topics courses at the 4000-level, this course emphasizes the ability to develop and address conceptually informed questions about literary texts in the form of class discussion, presentations, and papers.
