ART 3952 Analytical Drawing and Graphic Design

This course introduces students to some of the basic techniques of Graphic Design, using Adobe software and addressing composition, layout, file handling, visual impact, the integration of fonts and text, and legibility within a visual arts context. It includes some of the issues of analytical drawing including an analysis of shapes, spaces, relationships between objects or parts of the composition, light and shadows, texture, key details and the whole.

Prerequisites: 9 course units from ART 1311 , ART 1321 , ART 1331 , ART 1341 . Priority given to students enrolled in the Visual Arts programs.
