Introduction to homeostatic control mechanisms – the autonomic nervous system and the endocrine system. Histology of tissues and the integumentary system. Anatomy of the axial and appendicular divisions of the skeleton. Cellular physiology of nerve and muscle. Anatomy and physiology of skeletal muscles of the trunk and limbs. Anatomy and physiology of the nervous system including receptors, the sensory and motor pathways, the lower and higher functions of the central nervous system. Anatomy and physiology of the special senses.
