Exploring major events, themes and developments in Germany after World War II through the arts, literature, media, and popular culture. Topics include the division of Germany, the building of the Berlin Wall, German reunification, Germany's role in the European Union, immigration and the development of a multicultural society, and relations with the fellow Germanophone countries Austria and Switzerland.
